Chohee Yun, M.D.
Senior Vice President, Clinical Development
Dr. Yun joined Pliant as Senior Vice President of Clinical Development in June 2024.
Dr. Yun is a physician scientist who brings extensive experience in designing and leading global clinical development programs. Prior to joining Pliant, Dr. Yun held the role of Vice President of Clinical Development at Ventyx Biosciences where she advanced the Company’s immunology-focused portfolio from early to late-stage development in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). Prior to this, Dr. Yun held roles of increasing responsibility at Gilead Sciences where she led clinical development of therapies for hepatitis C and IBD. In her most recent role as Executive Director of Clinical Research in the Inflammation Therapeutic Area at Gilead Sciences, she oversaw global development of two IBD programs, resulting in regulatory approvals for Jyseleca in major markets. Dr. Yun completed her residency in internal medicine at John H. Stroger Hospital and fellowship in adult gastroenterology and hepatology at Stanford University Medical Center.Dr. Yun received her M.D. and B.S. from Seoul National University and holds a certification in gastroenterology from the American Board of Internal Medicine.
