Mr. Giguere joined Pliant as Vice President of Quality in May 2024.

Mr. Giguere brings to Pliant over 25 years of clinical and commercial-stage quality assurance, validation and process experience from across the biotechnology industry. Prior to Pliant, Mr. Giguere held the role of Head of Global Audit and Compliance at FUJIFILM Diosynth where oversaw the alignment of supplier quality and harmonization projects across 7 global sites. Prior to this he served as Quality Site Head at Taysha Gene Therapies, where he was responsible for the development and implementation of the company’s management system and oversaw all of the Quality systems, controls and operations functions. Previously Mr. Giguere held roles of increasing responsibility at Bluebird bio where, as Quality Site Head, he led the quality oversight of the company’s new gene therapy manufacturing facility and disposition of clinical and commercial-grade drug materials. Earlier in his career, Mr. Giguere held Quality Assurance and Validation roles at Cubist Pharmaceuticals, Shire Human Genetic Therapies, Amgen, ValSource and Bayer Diagnostics.

Mr. Giguere received his B.S. from Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island.
